A note from Vice Principal Mr. Huemoeller:

May 7th:     Everything is going great. We have had fantastic weather. Very sunny yet not to hot or humid.

On Sunday we toured Jamestown, Yorktown and Williamsburg. Monday we moved from our hotel in Williamsburg to Alexandria VA. There we spent some time learning about Thomas Jefferson at Monticello and then finishing up with a tour of Mount Vernon the home of George Washington.

Tuesday was a beautiful day at Arlington National Cemetery. Four of our students had the opportunity to lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. Other visits included the Holocaust Memorial Museum, Supreme Court and a quick stop by the White House and ended our evening at the Jefferson Memorial.

Today was just as busy. We began our day with a tour of the Pentagon, a quick stop at the Iwo-Jima memorial. Then we stopped at the World War Two Memorial and over to the Capital building where the House of Representatives was in session which we were able to observe. The tour of the Capital included a jaunt through the Rotunda.
